How to measure your authors' performance in Google Analytics

Post by sakibkhan22197 »

If you want to know which authors have recently written the most read content on your blog or simply want to know the performance and reach of your recent blog posts, you should read this guide.

If you use Google Analytics to measure your content, you've probably already noticed that the dominican republic phone number data tool is missing two quite valuable metrics for analyzing your data.

First, you can't use Google Analytics to identify the top-performing authors on your blog. Even if you use a system like HubSpot , it only measures the number of sessions, any resulting conversions, and the conversion rate. You won't get other high-value and important metrics like bounce rate or time spent on page. Every conversion is worth money.

Second, Google Analytics doesn't display some important publishing data for each individual page. So, if you want to see how well your recent blog posts have been received by your audience, you'll have to search for each individual page by its title or URL. Searching all blog posts at once isn't possible with the current tools.

Therefore, for optimal marketing, I wanted to find a way to automatically search for the author and publication date of each post so that these values could be used alongside all the other metrics in Google Analytics – previous page views, time spent on page, conversion rate, bounce rate, and the like.

As long as you have Google Tag Manager set up on your website, you can do this easily. Below, I'll show you how to create custom variables in Google Tag Manager that can then be loaded into Google Analytics as custom blog post metrics.

At the end of this tutorial, you will be able to create reports for your marketing in Google Analytics (or Google Data Studio) with the author and publication date metrics.
