Artificial intelligence for companies: a little history

Post by bitheerani90 »

Generative AI is the result of the evolution and development process of decades of research, which began when scientist Alan Turing sought to understand whether a computer could express human intelligence.

This process began in 1950, and was the subject of a sweden mobile database of investigations in the following decades. Initially, one of the advances achieved was the possibility of expanding data storage, culminating in more efficient data processing.

During this same period, following a wave of investigations and discoveries, scientists developed algorithms responsible for machine learning, or machine learning (ML), receiving funding from research agencies.

Encouraging research was crucial to the development of technologies as we know them today. Initially, the main objective of research was to discover whether computers could transcribe images into spoken language. A few decades later, support for research enabled the expansion of algorithmic tools, resulting in published articles reporting the results obtained from computer tests.

At the end of the 20th century and beginning of the 19th century, a very important milestone was reached: the victory of AI over the world chess champion. After years of study, artificial intelligence has been expanding exponentially, entering different areas of society, in a practical way and accessible to everyone with a computer. It has been making the individual routines of many easier, as well as helping business processes.
