5.- Check your competitors' movements on social networks

Post by Md5656se »

Social media is a unique space in the digital ecosystem with its own approach and strategy.

Creating such a strategy can be daunting, but there's no need to reinvent the wheel.

You can find a lot of good ideas by checking out your rivals' social media accounts.

Here's a list of things to do (and answer):

Find out who has been active on social media.

Determine what platforms they have been using.

Observe whether your audience has grown or decreased.

Learn what type of content they’ve been posting (are there any non-promotional posts?) and how often.

See if there is anything new in audience engagement and communication.

The Social Media Tracker tool will help you with this part of the competitive taiwan phone code analysis.

6.- Review the findings with your own goals and strategy in mind
After going through the key points we've seen so far to perform a competitive analysis, you need to make sense of your findings.

Evaluate how your competitors' actions and ideas correlate with your initial strategy
You may find that a long-term campaign you launched six months ago doesn't match current market trends and your needs.

It's better to find out now than several months from now.

Filter out any ideas that do not meet your company's offering, positioning, ultimate goals and strategy
No matter how useful information you've found by looking at your competitors, if they're not aligned with your brand idea or roadmap, it's best to leave them on the back burner.

This is when the next point becomes crucial:

Communicate competitive intelligence data with other departments
The competitive analysis you perform can show you ideas that are not yet useful to the marketing department but that will be highly appreciated by the sales department, for example.

Needless to say, they will be of great use to company executives.

Think about those of your colleagues who could benefit from your findings and feel free to share the report with them.
