Let's say you have an old Hotmail account and you want the emails from that address to be forwarded to your Gmail account. Or you have a work email address and you want to use that from your Gmail account, with your work email contacts and all. In this video I show you how to import multiple email accounts into Gmail!
Accounts and Import
Open your Gmail account. Go to the account settings (top right list to data of the page) and click on the tab 'accounts and import.'
Import options
You have several options here. For example, you can import email addresses and contacts from another email address. Or you can send emails from multiple email addresses that you own. This feature is useful if you want to read your work email from Gmail, for example, with the option to send email back from Gmail (while appearing to send from your work email).
Another option is to check your mail from other accounts with POP3, which gives you even more freedom and features (more on that in a next step). Furthermore, you can also give other email addresses access to your Gmail account. This is useful if, for example, someone works for you who needs to be able to read and answer your emails, but you would rather not have this person change your settings and such.
Let's look at this option first: importing email addresses and contacts.
Log into your other email account using your usual login details
Select what kind of data can be imported: emails, contacts and whether you want to add a label to all imported mail, for example.
Click on 'start import.'
